Fujita Memorial Nanakuri Institute

TWO-DIVISION SYSTEM SYMBOLIZES THAT NANAKURI INSTITUTE GETS INVOLVED IN COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT OF NANAKURI COMPLEX

Fujita Memorial Nanakuri Institute adopted two-division system. The Divison of Biochemistry consists of existing researchers and the Divison of Rehabilitation was newly built. Throughout transition of the organization (Institute of Pharmacognosy, Fujita Memorial Division of Pharmacognosy, Institute for Comprehensive Medical Science, and Fujita Memorial Institute of Pharmacognosy), the division style was not introduced. The two-division system can be interpreted as the symbolization that Nanakuri Institute gets involved in the comprehensive development of Nanakuri Complex.
The Division of Biochemistry has carried out several basic and clinical studies in collaboration with the Nanakuri Sanatorium. The Division is also involved in various studies about aloe, garlic and specified health foods, which were the projects started by the late Professor Keisuke Fujita, the Founding President of Fujita Health University.
The Division of Rehabilitation will concentrate its effort on the consolidation of its research activities gravitating around defining the recovery process of stroke patients in the rehabilitation wards of the Nanakuri Sanatorium and also proving the effectiveness of newly developed techniques for paralysis.
