Education

Learning Together- The Spirt Of Assembly

Fujita academy has celebrated its forty-fourth anniversary, and is advancing toward its fifties. Today, more than ever, we are actively involved in revolutionizing medical education. For example, we completed construction of core curriculum in our medical school, and our unique educational program incorporates key classes such as ghumanity, disease and deathh and a seminar entitled gconsideration of todayfs medicineh to provide medical students comprehensive understanding of the current issues of medicine. All the faculty staff is filled with the passion to improve the curriculum at their course all the time. Our educational program was developed to fully reflect the schoolfs founding philosophy stressing DOKUSOU-ICHIRI, gCreation of One Solid Principle of Your Ownh. Students and the faculty evaluate each other, working together to enrich course content, and making clear our commitment to learning together.
To produce the best medical professionals, hands-on clinical training is conducted at our medical institutions including Fujita Health University Hospital with over 1200 inpatients and about 2000 daily ambulant patients, the Banbuntane Hotokukai Hospital and the Nanakuri Sanatorium, respectively. Students of Fujita get together there to learn the gSpirit of Assemblyh as well as the skills needed for the team treatment.
In 2007, Fujita academy opened DOKUSOU-ICHIRI memorial hall and Fujitafs alumni association hall in Life-long Education and Learning Center #1. The DOKUSOU-ICHIRI memorial hall is for the inheritance of the original Fujitafs philosophy, gCreation of One Solid Principle of Your Ownh. This hall is open to all the staffs of Fujita Health University including graduates and provides the space to feel and think about the real meaning of DOKUSOU-ICHIRI.
We are fully committed to providing complete support for the students who study medicine in this excellent academic environment, under our approach of glearning togetherh.

Clinical Activities

Learning Medicine from Patients and Mentors

Fujita Academy plays a crucial role in community medicine through its many facilities, including Fujita Health University Hospital, the Emergency Lifesaving Center, Banbuntane Hotokukai Hospital in Nagoya, and Nanakuri Sanatorium in Mie Prefecture. These facilities also serve our students as invaluable sites for clinical training. We provide state-of-the art medical treatment to patients. The hospital has earned recognition as a leader in not only the number of operations performed, but also its skill in special surgery, such as brain surgery and organ transplantation. We are currently advancing plans to construct a new type of hospital designed for the 21st century, equipped with advanced radiological diagnostic and treatment systems including 3D CT, MRI and PET, providing minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment such as surgery via endoscope.
University students can learn much from the patients, the teaching staff at the hospital, and practicing physicians and other medical professionals.
