Welcome to The Japanese Medical Society
       for Sjogren's Syndrome

Sjogren's syndrome is an autoimmune disease.
It mainly causes chronic inflammation of the salivary glands and the lacrimal glands, causing reduced secretion.
This results in symptoms of dry mouth and tooth decay in the former and dry and tired eyes in the latter.
The members of the Japanese Medical Society for Sjogren's Syndrome are working very hard together to elucidate the cause and to improve diagnosis and treatment.
