英　　語- 124 -英　　語［教育目標］　今日、英語は、医学をはじめとするほとんどすべての学問領域において、公用語としての地位をもつに至っています。このような現状のなかでは、英語で書かれた文献を読んでそこから求める情報を得ることは、学問や研究を行っていこうとする者にとって不可欠のことです。そこでこの講義では、このように欠くことのできないものである英語文献読解の能力を養うことを目標とします。　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　（久米祐介）　この講義では時事英語を通して総合的な英語力を高めることを目的とします。ニュース記事に触れることにより、生の英語に慣れ親しむと同時に、語彙力の強化、文法の確認、英文読解、リスニング、和文英訳等の活動を通して将来に必要な英語力の基礎を固めていきます。（中川　聡）　The aims of this course are for students to improve their communicative ability with English, to increase their awareness of health and medical issues and to foster a lasting interest in medical English. Students will learn about health-related topics such as cancer, smoking, alcohol, stress and obesity and follow listening and speaking activities based on the content. Students will speak as much English as possible through pair and group-work activities, and by discussing the issues with their classmates and the teacher. There will also be two special video classes related to health issues talked about in the book.
