MOU agreement signed with Camilo José Cela University

On November 22, 2022, an MOU was signed between the Fujita Health University and the University of Camilo Jose Serra (UCJC), a private university in Spain.

Former Prime Minister of Japan, Yoshihide Suga, who led the Tokyo Olympics to success during the Covid 19 pandemic, also visited the site, and the University held a Gold Medal ceremony on the same day to honor for his achievements.

In present during the signing event were the Chair of the board Nieves Segovia and President Emilio Lora-Tamayo of UCJC.
From our university, Chairman Kiyotaka Hoshinaga, Dean of School of Medicine Dr. Nakao Iwata, Dean of Faculty of Rehabilitation Dr. Yoshikiyo Kanada, and Deputy Director of Center for International Relations Dr. Yoko Inamoto attended the ceremony.

UCJC, a private university in Madrid is a part of SEK Education Group. SEK Education Group has 125-year history and oversees about 40 hospitals and clinics, nursing schools and public universities in Spain and overseas, and plans to establish a medical school in the future.

At the ceremony, President Emilio Lora-Tamayo expressed his expectation toward developmental exchanges including students, faculty members and staff, as well as joint research efforts.
As for our university, this is the first agreement with a Spanish university.
We are planning to discuss further the possibility of starting the exchange program for students and faculty members from all faculties of the University.
