MOU with Sabanci University and Acibadem University


On February 5th 2020, we have established 2 MOU agreements, one with Sabanci University and the other with Acibadem University, both located in Turkey. By this agreement, we expect to welcome graduate students from the engineering department of Sabanci University and the medical students exchange program with Acibadem University.

Sabanci University is known as one of the leading private universities in Turkey, which produce many venture entrepreneurs in various fields such as medical technology and regenerative medicine.
Those universities are aiming at the educating students to be active not only in Turkey but outside of the country. This belief is shared between Fujita Health University.
In the MOU agreement ceremony with Sabanci University, President Eiichi Saito, President Yusuf Leblebic and Secretary-General Rasim Selim Karas signed an agreement to aim for the development of rehabilitation robots and other medical devices and student exchange.

Also with Acibadem University, which conducts many joint activities with Sabanci University, we have established the MOU. The university belongs to the Acibadem Healthcare Group with many hospitals and medical centers in Europe and Asia.
The university has set up a state-of-the-art simulated operating room and VR simulator and provide the very realistic simulating practices. For example, there is an actual ambulance car inside the training facility so students can be trained in the actual unbalancing inside-car environment.
At the visit, President Eiichi Saito spoke to students about the development of a rehabilitation robot by Fujita. He emphasized that robotics is being studied in various fields, such as exercise, nursing, cognition, and independence, and will be indispensable for supporting people with disabilities and the elderly in the very near future.
