Introduction

This department consists of Medical Technology & Radiological Technology, and aims to build a future developmental education system and education system in the faculty of medical sciences.
The main activities are planning and management related to Medical Sciences Education such as Team-Based Learning (TBL), Project Based Learning (PBL), Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), Computer Based Testing (CBT).
In addition, it also plays a central role in public relations activities, including entrance exams.

Research Theme

Currently, there are a total of 24 people in this field, including 1 unit leader, 6 faculty members, and 17 concurrent faculty members. The main activities are planning and management of the following items.

・Project Based Learning (PBL)

PBL is an active learning recommended by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. PBL is a student-centered learning method in which problems are discovered from scenarios and solutions are considered by discussing the problems in a small team. In this PBL, the process of arriving at a solution is paramount. In this field, we are also considering PBL, which the Medical Technology and the Radiological Technology work together.

・Team-Based Learning (TBL)

TBL is a learning method that solves applied problems in a small team by using basic knowledge from prior learning. PBL requires one tutor per team, but at TBL she basically has one teacher in charge of all the lessons.

・Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)
・Computer Based Testing (CBT)

This test is conducted before the start of clinical training. The OSCE is a practical exam and the CBT is a knowledge-confirming exam. If you do not pass both of these, you will not be able to practice clinically.

・Learning result visualization system (Assessmentor)

The university has introduced a system (Assessmentor) that regularly self-evaluates students' goals and achievements and visualizes their learning outcomes. In addition, in order to make effective use of Assessmentor, we have implemented a tutor system by graduate students, and full-time faculty members, class teachers and tutors in this field support students' learning.

・National examination measures

We are considering effective national examination measures. We are also considering a countermeasure system that uses e-learning.

・Others

In addition to the above, we support web-delivered lectures and create curriculums.
