“The Assembly Education” to develop “Good Health Professionals” through “Inter professional Collaboration”
As a comprehensive medical university, we have pioneered a collaborative education called “Assembly Education” since 1970. Students form a team with cross functional members to participate in this progressive TBL program, and the spirit of being a "good medical practitioner" is fostered through the program. In addition, the community-based comprehensive care system "Toyoake Model" is one of the outcomes of the program's educational process. In cooperation with Toyoake City, our students and teachers live in the housing complex to provide home medical care, nursing care, and rehabilitation to contribute to solving local issues and revitalize the community. The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare evaluated the effectiveness of this project and entrusted the university to train local government staff to provide comprehensive community care. The educational model of our university is developing as a “culture” that supports not only the field of medicine or community but also the whole nation.
