The Research Leading to the Advancement of Global Medicine
The Graduate School of Medicine comprises the following two disciplines: basic medicine and clinical medicine. The basic medicine discipline comprises morphology, function studies, healthcare, molecular medicine, and disease control. The clinical medicine discipline comprises internal medicine and surgery. The basic medicine discipline encourages cutting-edge basic research in students’ areas of specialty. The clinical medicine discipline not only encourages the development of medical knowledge in expert areas and the advancement of medical technologies but also proactively implements measures to improve treatment efficacy through multidisciplinary treatment methods that span multiple fields. The Graduate School of Medicine focuses on basic and creative research in the field of medicine and clinical medical research for facilitating highly-advanced medicine. Moreover, the Graduate School of Medicine aims to nurture talent who will demonstrate leadership as researchers and teachers with a profound sense of humanity and creativeness.
