English Seminar & Graduate Student Discussion Series by Young Faculty Members

This seminar series is held regularly to enhance the research presentation skills of young faculty members and to foster the ability of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to engage actively in academic discourse in English.
Each session features a faculty-led research presentation in English, followed by group discussions with participants. These seminars offer valuable opportunities for graduate students and postdocs to gain practical experience in answering questions and expressing their ideas effectively in English.
Through this interactive format, participants build confidence and strengthen their academic communication skills in preparation for international research environments.

Japanese Language Class

This program helps international researchers, graduate students, and young faculty develop practical Japanese skills needed to live, work, and collaborate effectively in Japan. Sessions focus on everyday and workplace Japanese communication with colleagues and supervisors, administrative procedures, lab and office interactions, conference participation, and networking so participants gain confidence using Japanese in academic and daily-life settings.
